Default Exhaust Suggestions for V7 swap

So i have a 2001 rs and a my2001 sti engine (V7) and i must find the perfect exhaust.. no fart cannons here boys... what does everyone suggest with refference to gains, tone, looks.. also i am planing on keeping the stock downpipe and prolly the pipe back to the last o2 sensor.. also i need something that will fit properly as i dont want to be hanging out at the nearby muffler/pipe shop

thx all

.sith.

In general, you can use any exhaust made for a WRX and it will fit. I can't say for sure that it's the same with the 2001, but at least the earlier JDM downpipes are 3" too short to reach. In my case, it was pretty simple for the shop to weld on an extension and flange. No idea what the difference would be if you keep the mid-pipe, though. Other than that, there's one hanger about 2/3 of the way back that won't match up with the GC8, but if you just use stiff bushings (I got some kartboys), you'll never need it.

I love the way the greddy sp2 looks and sounds. Looks like stock, but a little louder.

I have the Greddy Evo2. I got it specifically because it's quieter than most aftermarket exhausts, and not particularly conspicuous.

You can get an SPT cat back exhaust from the dealer for a WRX it looks good, complete stainless. It cost like $450ish. I had one on my Ver7 swapped rs it sounded awsome, and looks perfect

I've got the SPT catback on mine, its a nice piece, and quieter then i imagined it would be.

My car catless with the SPT is 10x quieter than it was with the stock dp and blitz catback.

Quiet at idle and cruising, but noticeable when getting on it. And doesn't drone too bad either. Again, that is the catless review of it. I can only imagine with the stock dp.

On the web site it says the part # is SOA8377900, but when you try to order it you may have a problem. Just tell the dealer that you want the SPT cat back for a 02-06 WRX. List is $495 but they might give you a break on it
