Also let me know what colors you want the two cars. Silver and black are the easiest, and show more agression. But is is up to you all, WRB, JBP, RED.....etc.

I don't mind the hood scoop, but I'd like to see an option for a more integrated hood scoop....maybe a lower profile one like the Legacy GT.

An itegral NACA-inlet style scoop would look especially sharp.

*edit* oh and a big arse hood scoop, brand identity and all........same for the wing but instead of a roof spioler lets go with the litle vortex generator things like the EVO Mr has, looks better than the mindow wing IMO.

no hatch?!!??! /yourself please. I guess I just don't understand the sedan obsession.

If by hatch you really meant a small 2dr hatchback, make a 4dr wagon instead, with the same body style, one of my gripes with the wagon is lack of fender blisters and smaller front end (lack of lips etc available)

Wirelessly posted (Treo 600: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 95; PalmSource; Blazer 3.0) 16;160x160)

Why not try ad come up with your own interpretation on the next evolution for the new nose and lips. Make it a derailed wagon or r-dr coupe. No big spoiler but one cut into the top of the trunk lid to keep it clean like the NSX, a nice integrated rear lip diffuser, roof diffuser, reverse hoodscoop and WRC hood vent, FMIC, Anthracite Prodive P1s, and bring back the Sonic Yellow!

^^ good point. I have actually already started scetching a few things. One thing popped into my mind. If you look at the Evo X concept the headlights give it a lot of attitude. And they deffinately used the snake sleek look for inspiration. Things kinda bunched all together and i remembered that the 06 sti headlights, some people said resembled eagle eyes. I looked at the falcon, and decided, what else to give the STI attitude than to give it agressive bird type headlights. So i used that as my inspiration.

Nothing too detailed, just a quick scetch of my own design.
Let me know what you think.

My only vote was for 'sRt4 is ThE F4sTAR' since there is no wagon option.

I like the '06 headlight design...maybe a mixture of the '01 and '06. I never liked the bugeye design. There are definately things about the '06 that also look sleek like the windsplitters and lip.

I suppose a grill change would be cool. And another vote for a low profile hood vent like the Legacy.

ooh, ima fav this thread! i cant wait to see what you come up with. But i recommend a "New Coupe R" prototype! And work with the pig nose headlights. But make better use of the foglights or foglight holes. Keep the STi wing (its tradition).

Yeah, no way am i getting rid of it on the sedan. The wagon wil def not have one, and as for the hatch.... i dont know maybe something small like a mines lip or something std wrx wing size.

When you say hatch... what exactly are you talkin about? Not like a civic hatch kinda thing right? Id recommend do away with the hatch and do a coupe instead.

While making it a 2 door you should also make the body style more aerodynamic. Make the body wider and make the STI capable of fitting a boxer 6 cylinder engine. add at least 6 inches to the hood and tmake the hood scoop longer to compensate so the whole car becomes more stream line. And no sharp edges. The car should have no edge greater than a 30 degree bend from the front to the spoiler. Try to keep the 05 grill design with the eagle headlights. That will add to the aerodynamic formaty that I would want in a new design.

That sketch of the headlight is right-on-the-money with what I was thinking should be the next step in the progression for Subaru

To add to the hit-list of design attributes for the wagon that I mentioned earlier:

1. Aero-dynamic skirts similar to the STI, that have flowing lines that starts from the front lip and sweaps all the way to the rear diffuser. They'd need to maintain some level of continuity, but I think that has always been lacking on the wagon (poor lip and skirt styling).

2. roof diffuser where the roof spoiler resides currently on the wagon.

3. A redesigned waiste spoiler

4. A 2-tone 3-piece rear lip diffuser: body color matched on the sides and black in the middle.

5. "Small" roof scoop like on the wrc cars

6. Rear euro antena (top and center) like on the s2000 or VW bug

7. 18" wheels

8. Projector fogs molded into the front facia for more aerodynamics (instead of recessed)

9. Flared fenders or a wider body style

10. Front brake vents to the sides of where the fogs would normally be

11. Rear brake vents behind the doors

12. Open up the nose a little more, similar the the 02-03 JDM version to accomodate for FMIC behind a black grille.

That's all I have for now. This is actually inspiring me to take a crack at it myself.
