Default burned off 3 quarts of oil in one weekend...

as the title suggests i need help. im gonna get under my car in a few minutes when it cools down. here's the story:

a guy helped me install my uppipe (helix) friday night and when we started the car up there were no leaks that we could hear and figured everything was good. now, after the weekend there is oil on top of the turbo (under the nut/hose thing) and the smoke is coming out of my hood scoop. i've read that this probably isn't the valve cover leaking so does anyone else have any ideas to what i should look for? the oil is leaking on my garage and a little smoke is coming out of the muffler at idle. ANY help is GREATLY appreciated. i don't have the funds to pay for $95 to have subaru look at my car and tell me it's not covered under warranty.
Thanks a bundle

Check the turbo oil fittings to make sure you didn't knock any loose when installing the UP. After that if you don't find anything, pull the turbo and IC and check for oil and shaft play on the turbo.

if you didn't have any issues before make sure all the lines to the turbo are clear and free.

the dealership will not warranty anything regarding the turbo with an aftermarket uppipe. at least most won't since the turbo at that point has been unmounted.

Try tightening the oil lines - sounds like the upper connection is leaking then the oil is burning off on the turbo.

if you removed the turbo to install the up-pipe then chances are you didn't put the crush washers back on the banjo bolt on the top of the turbo also check to make sure that your oil drain hose is correctly seated under the turbo.

the turbo was never unmounted from the car. just unbolted the downpipe and the uppipe and had at it. the problem was the hex bolt on the top oil line. i just had to tighten it down and no more leak. im so glad because im broke! thanks for all the feedback guys!
