Default FS: ACT Lightweight Flywheel for 2002+ 2.0L WRX

I have a slightly used (only 70 miles) but virtually brand new ACT XACT Lightweight Chromoly Flywheel for sale. This is a 13.9 lbs (part# 600175) XACT flywheel for the 2.0L WRX 2002+ 5spd MT. Bought from here

The reason I am selling is a long story which can be read in this thread. But basically I bought this flywheel as a combo with an Exedy clutch to put into the 02 WRX wagon, and after having some crazy grinding/rattling noises had to have everything taken out and re-installed more than once. It was determined early on that the ACT flywheel was not the problem in my particular case, and that it was not defective or contributing to my grinding/rattling noises. However, in an attempt to diagnose the problem the new ACT flywheel had to be taken out of the equation to eventually find out that the real culprit was the new Exedy clutch. >_< Needless to say I now have a stock heavy flywheel in the car and this lightweight ACT flywheel is up for grabs due to my misfortune.

SO... this flywheel is in new condition only 70 miles (to and from home from Subaru of Dallas) and I am asking $200.00 or best offer.

PM me or email me with inquiries.

As you can see the friction surface is still brand spanking new

Dude. I wish I had the cash. Were you able to tell a big difference in performance or did the grinding issue not allow you to pay attention?

To tell you the truth I noticed it more AFTER I got another stocker in there. I mean I noticed it when the lightweight one was in there, but it was much more apparent when the heavy stock flywheel went back in. I didn't get on the car since it making funny noises, and since it was new clutch break-in, but at idle if you blipped the throttle it was VERY noticeable. The revs went up and fell much faster than the stock flywheel.

IMHO the only detectable difference is more ocassional stalling. I didn't notice any performance differences at all.

Ugh, if I didn't spend a lot of money for suspension bits to fix my clunking (hopefully), I'd be all over this, too, since I'm gonna have to get my clutch/flywheel replaced sometime this year.

Free bump for a good price
