I bought my outback a couple months ago and have been reading the forums for just as long. I'm finally posting questions now that I have several to ask:

I want some power pulleys but don't want to underdrive things. I heard that lighter pulleys are effective in helping the engine and that smaller pulleys will also boost a little power, but I only want a lighter pulley. Are there power pulleys that will use the stock belt for the legacy? Also, what are some cheap mods to get a faster 0-60 time?

The pullies are really good for 0-60 time, after that it depends on what you call cheap. If you have a stick work on your driving, that can always be better. An air intake it a good way too. After that it would get out of what I call cheap. But the more something costs (usually) there's a reason for it. ie turbo kits, Aftermarket ECU's.

I'll be getting some pullies from him to. JCS (JC Sports) used to have a set. But there web site's down so I don't know if they will continue to offer it once they finish there makeover. I would stay away from JCS as much as you can. Do a search on them, many hate threads, and for good reason.

Thanks, and yeah, I know you get what you pay for. I know a turbo will put the 'punch in my power', but I wanted to do a few mods now while I'm still eating ramen noodles and wondering how I'm gonna make the monthly subaru payment if ya know what I mean. Glad to see people agree with the pulleys...
