(what i have posted on there forum)

If your interested in having cobb make a vf39 map for 02-05 wrx's post to show that there is interest.

To the people at COBB, it would be nice if you guys created a vf39 ots map for us 02-05 wrx owners as an alternative. Its a nice cheap upgrade for us and i really don't see it as being to hard for you. You can just modify one of the other ots vf maps.

the only thing we'd want is something similar to the vf34/30 maps. specs on the map can be the same turboback, sti pink injectors, vf 39 turbo, stock intercooler.

I know theres plenty of interest in this as the question is always asked "what about the vf39?". The turbo used can be had for under $400 plus a set of injectors and we have a nice alternative map for a cheap budget upgrade of about $700.

Its great that your working on turbo upgrade maps for the 06+ wrx but there are more 02-05 owners and this will help you sell alot more AP's.

If you have no interest in creating this map please come out and just post WE HAVE NO INTEREST. christian? trey?

got one person, keepem going if your interested. $700 bucks is still cheaper than a new/usedvf34 and it seems sti owners pull vf39s off as soon as they get their cars.

if i were you guys, i would conact tdctuning. they offer "etuning" services where you tell them your mods and they send you a base map. you run that map, do some datalogging (you can download the software for free), and then send them the logs. from your logs, they will develop some real time maps for you. i just recently purchased a vf30 protune base map from them and it blows cobb's ots map away. i sent my logs yesterday, and they sent me a real time map the same day. i am going to do some more datalogging w/ the base and real time maps and they are going to tweak it somewhere until it's to my liking. all for $150. worth every penny.

at this point were not asking for that thanks for informing, most of us are aware of that. this post is to try to gauge interest for a vf39 map from cobb not TDC, PDX, ABC, XYZ for an extra 150 to the price of the AP you just paid 600 for.

well, good luck with that then, cobb is way behind on their stuff. we've been waiting forever for a stage 3 map, so i don't think they're going to take the time to come up with a vf39 map any time soon. it's been asked countless times to no avail.

doesnt need to include the 06 its a different motor and cobb is coming up with something supposedly larger than any vf turbo for it. we 02-05 guys seem to be up a creek with out a paddle at this point. the odd part is 02-05 wrx AP's probably sell the most as there are more on the road than anything else at this point.

I'd be interested, especially to compare their result #'s to the VF34. I assume the 34 will make a bit more power but i'd like to see what they find. It certainly gives me another option for upgrade paths.

Definitely! I'd be interested.

I've been running the VF34 map for over six months now... and it works well. I'm sure a custom vf39 map would work better- if the vf30 and vf34 are different enough to warrant different maps, so is the 39!

In all honesty, you guys would be better off with an OTS VF39 map made by PDX. I would approach them first. A lot of people have started to run the OTS maps that PDX is making and they are much better then the OTS maps that Cobb has on their site. People are raving about more power and the logs on the maps speak for themselves.... high KC values with maxed IAM and no drivability issues what so ever... unlike the hit and miss with Cobb's OTS maps.

i wouldn't be so sure the 39 map would work better.

the three turbos are pretty much equal. a 30/34 has maybe 15hp more in it than does a 39.. that's it.
