Default Spyshots of the next-gen Sebring

Not very good pics, but it looks like Chrysler is taking it easy on that whole huge-grill, up-right style that they seem to using on all their products lately. And the inside looks to be thoroughly modern.

Could be a very competitive mid-size sedan.

If a pre-production Sebring were undisguised in the woods... would anyone push a tree on it?

It would be nice if the dashboard design wasn't done in all plastic. It has a nice layout, but the preponderance of plastics is just too much. The seats could use a bit of work too, that checkerboard pattern belongs in a Neon or a Civic.

That button's suppose to self-destruct the car, to destroy any evidence of such a prototype. And also kill the driver to stop information from leaking.

And what car interior doesn't have plastic in it?
(outside of $100k luxury cars that are covered in leather)
So what material do you want a car interior to actually be made of? And please post examples of said material.

Even companies with award winning interiors are usually 95% plastic - besides maybe a leather wrapped steeringwheel and shift knob and maybe a strip of wood here or there.

That Sebring interior looks far removed from the mono-tone, bland and poorly-fitting interiors of the 80s and 90s.

You're right, there are pretty much no cars that use anything but plastic for the interior. I guess it's just something about that design that looks done improperly, as if it were a melodramatic use of design features on the dash to bring about some sort of look that just isn't there. It is a heck of a step up from the poorly fitting interiors of the 80s and 90s as well as the previous generation of Sebrings. I hope Chrysler manages to find a niché for this car as it seems the spacing inbetween the PT Cruiser and the 300 has disappeared.

Or maybe you should just admit that you're just bias against American car design.

You're comparing the interior fittings to a car from the 80s and 90s? Have you seen the interior of Subarus from the 80s and 90s? And to each his own, I'm glad that they are beginning to build cars with a more distinctive and unique design.

Are they ditching FWD on it?

...oh, and I absolutely hated the old Sebring. You'd think an American boat like that would actually have some headroom.

Edit: Strike all I wrote, it's not even worth it. And no, I don't have a bias against American car design, I would love to own a Corvette or '03-'04 Mustang Cobra, however the cost of entry at this time was prohibitive.
