Default MPG gets worse!

Ok, I just got a new Cat from SOA. The old one failed.

Then I put back my stock header. But I still have perrin UP installed.

Somehow, the MPG is going crazy.

I just spend half tank just for 145 miles. Its on 03 wrx. and No, I dont drive crazy. I drive normal. Keeping RPM below 3500.

Any idea?

hey sandwi we meet again haha...
yea i usually get around 200-210 with half tank. With borla header.
Now with stock header, the mpg gets worse...

and, mine is stock engine, except the UP. SOA claims wrxs cam go 23mpg right?

hey ice haha yeah we meet again. wow do you do exclusively highway driving? i am in stop and go traffic like every day so i can only get around 20mpg. if i do purely highway driving then probably around 25mpg.

i didn't know a borla header can make the mpg so much better. sorry can't help you out there.

Yea, well I combined highway and traffics. usually I get 300 miles full tank.
Well when Im driving, sometimes I put the gear in neutral.. and let it roll...

Im not sure if its because of the borla header. Im gonna ask RonPrice again on monday.
Maybe its time to change trans oil, diff oil, and plugs.

I am in the process of installing Gruppe-s headers this weekend, if I ever get this dame EGT probe to work I hope to see my MPG to go up... but some how I think it will go down

recently I have seen about 21 MPG with full turbo back and up-pipe...

21mpg is pretty good. Mine is about 18mpg. Well I noticed the engine runs smoother, less noise, which is good and I like it.

any other idea what may cause this?
