Cobb Stage 2

Default 06 wrx vf39 cobb stage 3 numbers

Christian from cobb tuning who is responsible for making the maps came up with these numbers for the stage 3 = AP, tbe, sti tmic and stage 3 map.
its a nice curve.

On that chart, is the base # when the car was bone stock?
Because those dont seem like very big gains. Especially the Tq, it only went up 19 ft/lbs?? Just a downpipe by itself will do that much.

nope, thats the stg II vs. vf39 chart.

seems to me with the 2.5 in the 06's with the sti turbo and intercooler the nembers should be pretty close to a stage 2 sti ?

Not really... the EJ257 is a whole different beast. My stage 2 map can hit 300whp with a protune, so I'm not exactly "worried".

Ok that makes more sense. I was like

Still seems like an AWEFULLY small TQ gain from the jump in turbo size, then again, the HP gain is about what I would expect...

true the torque seems a lil low but then again its only boosting 16 psi

Well, it is a preliminary map, and the Stage 2 06 WRX was an over-achiever when it came to torque (23 ft-lbs more than the stock STI on their dyno ), so the smaller torque gain going to the VF39 might not be so crazy.
