Question Redline tranny fluids?

I was just wondering if anyone has used redline fluid in their transmission? An if they have would they recomend it? BTW i have a 97 legacy outback auto tranny. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

There's been lot's of discussion on Redline. It's pretty widely accepted around here that the manual tranny fluid is a little thin for the subaru tranny and can cause grinding. As far as the ATF goes, I think it's very high quality stuff. If you are switching from a different oil, I do recommend you get your tranny flushed and replaced completely, otherwise it's a pain in the arse to do it yourself and usually requires quite a bit of that stuff.
