Upgrade the fuel pump w/o a new turbo???

Hey everyone,
I was just wondering if it was a good idea to upgrade my stock 2002 WRX fuel pump to a Walbro replacement.
I have a Cobb AP with a Stage II map flashed, but I do not have an upgraded turbo.

Basically, i'm getting ready to install a new suspension & carpet, and while I had the rear seat & stock carpet removed I figured I might do the fuel pump replacement as well since I'll be right there.

Does anyone know if this will be dangerous to install a new fuel pump on the stock fuel sysem & stock turbo?

nope. it will work just fine. just be prepared for a little more pump whine.

Sweet, thanks ride5000!
A little extra noise doesn't bother me... after my replacing my Toyo tires with noising Yokohamas plus all the NVH i'm getting some all the random hardened bushings I installed, honestly, that new fuel pump whine will probably blend right in!

i actually find it comforting. fuel is important!
