Default 04 STi vaccume ?

I have been rerouting most of the vaccume lines that make the spider web under and arround the intake manifold. My Question is all the lil round mushroom things in many of the vac lines ( 1.25in round by.5in thick black plastic) ....not the ones in the fuel lines. I assume they are check valves, They have an arrow on them indicating I assume air flow/vac direction. Do they need to stay in the lines?

Also looking to find out what vac lines can be capped/gotten rid of and what has to have vac goin to it. I know the basic need to stay FPR vac-Boost Solinoid vac-Turbo vac anything else?

If anyone can direct me to a rilly detailed guide to it all, that would be emencly helpful. I have one of those crap Ebay WRX-STi CD manuals but its rilly not worth even the $1.99 I spent on it

just curious why your gettin rid of them? not sure on the new motors, but mine just has the basics...(just checked all of them yesterday for leaks)
boost stuff (vaccum line to BPV)
boost control solenoids, map sensor, etc, (all off of one spot on the manifold)
brake booster
purge solenoid
FPR

id say those are the necessites... not sure though

Im not definetly getting rid of them if any at all, depending on what they do. Just relocating some perhaps, so its not a big solid mass of Vac lines. Basicly trying to clean up the look of the engine some-get rid of some of the randomly weired mounting spots and such ........many of those lil vac sensors and where they attatch seem to be in spots that are just factory assembly line convenient. But, it may end up being too much of a hassel
