Default Steele Sliding Saturday March 4th RallyCross

I would like to welcome everyone to the 2006 ALSCCA RallyCross season. Our first event, Steele Sliding, will be at the Alabama International Dragway located just off I-59 in Steele, Alabama on Saturday, March 4th.
www.alabamainternationaldragway.com
Gates will open at 8am with tech and registration beginning at 9am.
The drivers meeting will follow at 10am with the first car off after the meeting.
The concession stand will be open for lunch.
Hope to see everyone there.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
After talking with the owner of the track in Steele, if it appears to be a little sloppy out there we are going to move our RallyCross from the parking area to a grassy field along the dragstrip return road. What does this mean for you, the competitors? It just means that instead of driving through the fenced off area beside of the track before you reach the timing tower you will have to drive through the main gate at the end of the drive just like the drag cars would. The owner doesn't mind us using the parking area provided it isn't under water and has suggested that we use an area at the end of the return road away from everything if the weather is a bit soggy. I will post up a day or so before the event to let everyone know which field we will be running. Either way, it looks to be a sliding good time.

I doubt I'll be able to enter the event, but I might make it down there for a little spectamatating if the weather looks nice.

Unless I have a co-driving seat, I'm out....

I'm not going to press my luck by snatching the wife's XT for this weekend....

Looks Like I have to bring the Chirrens this weekend. We have a showing Saturday so the mutts are coming too. No word yet on if my car will be out of body shop purgatory by then either so I hope Erin keeps her word on the co drive.
