Wirelessly posted (Treo 600: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 95; PalmSource; Blazer 3.0) 16;160x160)
APS DR650 FMIC painted stealth black. If you already have a VF30 or VF34, sell it and move up to a 20g or equvilant. APS 3.5" turboback. Utec and a tune. Do you already have the JDM STI 6spd? If not, get one. If so... 340 whp = Done. |

I think this should go in the conversion forum...
Anyway let me see if I can shed some light on this subject. Ej20G eh? is it from a WRX Wagon or Sedan? It will either have a TD04 if it is a Wagon or Automatic(i think) It will have a TD05 16g if it is a Sedan. Upgrades.. What do you want to do with this car? Have it as a street terror? Track? Show?? If it were my car, and I wanted more power I would upgrade...... Turbo- If you have a TD05 you can do some magical things with that lil' snail. Contact some of the Turbo Vendors on this ask them what they can do to the turbo. I smell 18G. Also your Turbo has a 90 degree inlet, so if you want a bigger or aftermarket turbo, that will be an issue that will have to be adressed. Injectors - Your stock injectors are okay at best. There are some campanies that make injectors for the older jdm engines such as Power Enterprise. You can get up to 800cc injectors or as low as 550cc, dependiing on what you want. You will want an Upgraded fuel pump(if you dont already have one) Engine management - umm... Power FC? You can run piggy backs, but if you want real power you will need to go full standalone on the older engines. Piggybacks are great for mostly stock set-ups, but if you go with a bigger turbo or injectors I think you would want something more powerful than a piggyback. The Apexi Power FC for the EJ20G is a plug and play unit. Intercooler - Go Front Mount if possible. You can go with something like the APS unit that is specific for GC. ![]() Or you could always just make a custom one, usually pretty cheap option. Exhaust- Any WRX Turboback will fit nicely. I would recomend upgrading the brakes and suspension also, but that is up to you. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding your project. Thanks Rick AIM: RickatRSD 801.619.1779 |

i say you do suspention and brakes...before you cango 120mph in less then 15sec. you need to be able to slow down 2X as fast and corner 2x as hard.

thanks guys....
i am going with a bigger turbo, but i was looking toward something like a 20g...?!?!? bigger injectors and also front mount. as far as engine management i was leanin toward the new greddy e1 and have it wired in. what do you think....it is cheaper than the apexi power fc. as far as brakes......brembo...?!?!? suspension......some jdm version5...or JIC coilovers. if you guys can tell me anything else...it would be greatly appreciated. |

If you want something like the Greddy EM, you should just get the HKS F-con, It will be much better if you want a 20g and big injectors.

an tod05 18G/20 is a simple upgrade as you can have deadbolt put the larger wheel in the existing housing ... other than that your are looking at a rotated mount due to the upturned inlet
a 30/34 (and vf-22) is smaller than what you have if your motor is from a manual sedan (auto and wagon have much smaller turbos) i am running usdm sti injectors in a modified 1.8 fuel rail ~25% larger than stock |
