Default SOHC 2.5 into 1999 legacy outback

Ok, so I just wondered if anyone has done this swap with the whole motor. I know all about the hybrid stuff, but what about the whole longblock? I talked to the guys at rallitek and they said the 2000+SOHC have a different EGR setup and the also switched from a mechanical sensor to an electrical one, but i forget which one it was. so do i have to cut my wiring harness or should i just dump the new 2.5sohc and just rebuild my blown HG 2.5? Thank you..
