Default 06 WRX Injectors Flow Tested to 560cc

06 WRX injector was flow tested by RC to 560cc at 43.5 PSI.

Just for reference, STi pinks do 525cc at RC.

I'll scan the sheet in tomorrow as proof.

They are completely different. THe USDM STi injectors are SIDE FEED and the 06 USDM WRX are TOP FEED.

Well i mean that was the first thing I did when I saw the first one at the dealer. I was surprised because I expected to see side feeds as well. This and cobb's initial testing is what led me to really wonder what the injectors were.

I mean it didnt make much sense that they would go with the 02-05 WRX injectors since IMO they were too small to safely operate even stock power levels on the 06. Glad to know that 06 WRX owners have up to 20G swaps to look forward to without doing any injector upgrades!

^^^ And the fact that it now apears we 2.0L owners have access to bigger injectors at maybe a cheaper or free pricetag. That's always good.

Now the question becomes whether 06 WRX injectors can fit an 00 rail with minimal mods, and whether you can get them cheaper than the STi pinks...

My 520s are at 100% with a small 16G and 2.0L @ 18psi and 11:1 AFR.

40cc is jack crap.

I'm sure it will be an excellent, reasonable, and well-tuned safe setup. Go for it.

Or is this where you, out of the blue, bring up information about intending to jack up the static fuel pressure? Water/meth/alky injection? Etc. Save it.

Dude, what crawled up your ass and died? And yes, there are many mays to get around this including but not limited to statice FP, meth injection, less agressive tune.

Man this site is just full of fools. Where is the "Thanks Blingus for testing an injector". Bunch of self ritegous ignorant morons.

Whats involved in an injector upgrade in an 04 to the 06 top feds? Does it physically fit with just the injectors swapped or do things like fuel rails and connective pieces need to be swapped as well?

In order to change the feed type, you must change the rails. After all, the injectors plug into the rails which is where the "feed" part comes into.

The specifics are covered here on NASIOC, just search.

My comment was directed at only one thing - your suggestion that 560cc injectors, without "getting around limitations", would be fine for a 20G on a 2.5L engine. If you want to take that comment as a general overall attack on your efforts, that's on you. I saw a bogus suggestion and commented on it. Nobody should be expecting or buying 560cc injectors to be a proper solution for a 20G on a 2.5L engine.
