well i finally left the mobil 1 it seemed to disappear on the stick depending on how hard i was driving. not alot ,but enough. i have seen several posts on this subject. i have a buddy who owns a parts store ,and he sold me the royal purple at 3.00 a qt so i bought a couple cases . i will give an update after a couple weeks of some spirited driving. i am running 5w30

i used to run race 21 (5w30 equivilent race formula)for a long time but where i am going to school for right now i can find it anywhere. and back then i was paying $9/qt. i use mobil 1 for now.

Unfortunately, RP didn't really solve my consumption issues. If you do a little research on bobistheoilguy.com, you'll find that RP isn't that much thicker than M1. I switched to GC 0w-30, and so far, consumption is much, much better.
