Default 03 WRX 5 speed into an 05 WRX?

Both WRX's are 5 speed...my buddy is looking to buy my complete 5 speed, put a gearset in and then put it in his 5 speed 05 WRX. I know there are axle differences in mid 04, but since he has all the axle pieces from his stock trans could he just re-use them on mine?

no he cannot, the case is actually changed in 05'. All he'll need is a set of 02-03' front axles.

03MBP- you'll need the front axle assembly as Subaru doesn't offer the joint seperatly.

WRXOFIVE- He's trying to swap a non-stub front diff into a subbed case.
