Any opinions on this http://www.rallysportdirect.com/shop...products_id/37
Versus the Cobb Stage2 package?

With Cobb, you can get the Street Tuner ($400) add-on and custom tune, which opens a lot of possibilites. ProDrive is as every bit as reputable as Cobb IMHO.

Simon Lines will also unlock the ECUtek license for you, if you should choose to go a different path with your car.
I had a PPP3 for a long time and liked it. I actually still use the mechanical pieces minus the muffler and hoses. I just needed a different tune for autocross. prodrive>cobb. *>cobb, for that matter, from some of the opinions I've read. |

Cobb is just another method of delivering a tune to your stock ECU. Either way a protune or tuned UTEC etc. are the best ways to go for your car. OTS maps are OTS maps but I am enjoying my PDX OTS maps right now and I'm glad I spent the money to get the accessport to allow me to recieve and implement those maps.
Just decide what you wanna do in the future so you don't make a costly mistake. |

Makes you wonder why more tuning shops such as Prodrive aren't making OTS maps for the Accessport so they can deliver this solution without the added hardware expense and partnership on their part. The only expense incurred for a shop wanting to protune is the cost of the protuner software.
Also mentioned in another thread there are open source utilities that can deliver OTS base maps to an ECU so a tuner could make a new base map and distribute it to be implemented on a car via a tactrix cable and ECUFlash or something similar. |
