From what ive read on here the UTEC controls all aspects of your computers functions like timing, fuel and boost. My question is do you need to have a seperate boost controler like the AVCR or something like that to fine tune your boost or is it not needed with the UTEC.

Get yourself a 3-Port Boost Solenoid. This will do away with the ABC all together. Then UTEC will be control of boost instead of using a seperate unit like an AVCR etc...

-Some people use the OEM solenoid + the ABC + utec
-Some people just use the OEM soleniod + utec (most STI's can get away with this) -Some people like a MBC + Utec -Some people like to run AVCR + Utec -Some peiple like to run upgraded solenoids (the GM, perrin, or prodrive) with their utec After looking at many options I decided that that the utec+perrin soleniod would do what i needed it to do. |
