correct- the 06/07 wrx and sti have the same scoop. just get the 06/07 sti splitter/bellows and you'lll be good to go.

I've got an 02 WRX with an 04-05 STi style hood scoop. Which splitter/seal kit do I need from Rallispec?

you'll need the version 8 splitter and shroud if your scoop is 04-05. Check with them if they have them in stock. Their site is not does not actually list if they have the products in house.

Does any body know the part number for the usdm v8 splitter/seal kit? Is it RST-9086kit or is that the jdm v8? Is there a difference between jdm and usdm v8 splitter/seals?

I had a couple of other questions.
1. is the 05 wrx hood scoop taller than the 06/07 wrx and sti hood scoop?
2. Is the 04-05 sti splitter taller than the 06-07 sti splitter?

I have a quick question that I can't find by searching. I know us wrx guys need the two extra hoses to make the STI top mount fit, but is this fitment to the stock turbo or an upgraded turbo? Is the hose still too short on a bigger turbo like 16g? I have my top mount. I'm wondering if I need to buy these hoses to make it fit for when I put it on with my turbo or if I can just use the old hoses.

It's a fitment on stock turbo. I am pretty sure extended hoses are needed on 16g or bigger turbos.

Default 06/07 WRX to STI TMIC

I did this just a few days ago, aiming for a "factory" type install which included the foam "packing" seals found on the STI splitter. Hopefully this will help a few of you out. Subiegal supplied this diagram w/ part numbers:

My final parts list was something like this:

P/n...........description...................quantity....actual catalog #
90817.........splitter...........................x 1...........90817FE310
W300029.....splitter grommet..............x4............909300029
Q575017.....grommet bolt...................x4............904575017
90817B.......bellows...........................x1. ..........90817FE340
90881H.......bellows anchor clips..........x20..........90826FA000
59185.........plastic alignment screw.....x1............59130AA000
W130083.....alighment/anchor pin........x2............909130083

90875B......packing seal.....................x1 ...........90875FE180
90875C......packing seal....................NA............2004/05 MODEL YEAR ONLY
90875E......packing seal *.................NA............2004 MODEL YEAR ONLY
90875F......packing seal *..................x2............90875FE080

* for both the E,F packing seals, a package contains single pieces

Remember my quantities and parts may differ from what you need. I did order extra of the plastic clips and screws because I have a tendency to break em or lose em to the black hole on top of the engine block

Hope this helps,

Konmann

Will a Samco 90 degree 2in hose for the y-pipe elbow work just as well as one from StylinMotors? I'm hoping so as the Samco is $40 vs the $45 for the Stylin...

I can't get my new STi TMIC to fit on my 05 WRX with the TD04 obviously. Guess I need that 90 degree elbow. Hope it's longer than the stock red one on the STi y-pipe... already ordered a longer TB/IC coupler from Stylin too...

Any feedback on the Samco 90 degree elbows?

I just recently installed a USDM STi TMIC on my 02 WRX and the only problem I ran into was the bolt hole on the left side of the intercooler. There is NO way this bolt hole will line up without bending the A/C line or getting a new line all together.

Stock turbo? Did you use a different 90 degree elbow?

Every single question which was recently asked is CLEARLY answered in the stickies and other posts regarding this topic.

Oh and word of advice for Ryan314: On my 02 with an STi Top Mount i took two zip ties and used one on the passenger side where the AC lines go in/out of the firewall and tied the two AC lines together near the C clip holding the return line down, then I took the other zip tie and again tied the two lines together near the dead center of the car behind the intercooler there is another clip holding the return line to the firewall. (on mine this clip was not a C, but a complete clip) Now, the combination of the two keeps the AC lines away from the intercooler completely. I wrapped the line where it could contact with rubber for a precaution though.

No noticeable change in AC temp (may hurt its efficiency a bit, i dont know). If you are worried about these lines touching that much, then you can always insulate them.

Good luck, this was the best and easiest solution to the problem I have been able to find.

Question about the STi y pipes- Why is it that some y pipes are solid until the elbow like this one (mine)...

While others have the a piece of silcone hosing in between the y pipe like this?

Good question. I have wondered the same thing. My STi TMIC has the all metal pipe until the elbow like yours too, but ours seems a lot less common than the 2nd one you mentioned there with the little silicone hose part in the middle of the Y-pipe

I did a little research and from what I read, the solid metal cast ones are from 06+ STIs, while the two piece with the silcone hose are from the 04-05 STi.

Correct if I'm wrong someone!

Does anyone know exactly how much to trim off of the Stylin' Motors 2" ID Elbow for a perfect fit?

it varies car to car. put it on, mark it, cut a little, put it back on, trim a little more. dont do it all in one wack or you may end up with one that is too short.

I am sure you can get splitter and JDM hood scoop from any nasioc vendors. Give them a call to find out.
