There are two reasons why IC do not correctly align on mounting tab on passenger's side:

1. TB hose is about 1" short.
2. Turbo to IC hose is also short.

You will need to upgrade both hoses for IC to correctly align on both brackets.

I finally received 2.5" ID TB hose today. However, I found out that it won't fit! You must use a 2.75" ID TB hose to fit correctly...

Even squeezing, squishing and prying? The ID of the stock hose was only 2.5 as I mentioned earlier, maybe it is more pliable. Yeah I should have noted that the 2.75 was snug going over the clamping rib which is right about 2.75.

2.75" seems to be the correct size...

I tried to squeeze it to get it to fit, but it is way too small. 2.75" ID is the best size.

This is a HOSE issue, not a BRACKET issue!
People are getting confused with this..........the IC mounts perfectly to the brackets ....you do not need to bend them.

STi is a solid smooth metal Y, WRX is two metal flanges off of the IC, with the nastiest looking excuse for a plastic Y you've ever seen.

WRX y-pipe doesn't exist from factory. It's y-hose. Gruppe-s sells y-pipe for WRX.

These are the one's I got and they worked fine for an 04 USDM STi TMIC with the Cast Y pipe.

50.275-300-110 $10.50 (2.75" ID, 3" long)
56.200-418-110 $38.25 (2" ID, leg are 4.18" from center of bend)

Yes, you will need 2.75" ID, 3" long TB hose. You will have to cut close to an inch to make it a perfect fit.

2.5" ID hose WILL NOT FIT no matter how hard you try.

by the by, i totally agree on moving your stock A/C lines, i figured it would be ok and did not move mine, just let them rub. i no longer have A/C since there is a big hole burnt into the line where the intercooler was rubbing.

A 1/2" rubber hose split lengthwise and zip tied to your lines will solve that.

The big problem here is that mounting points on the ICs are in a different spot.

I have a V7 and a US STi sitting here in my living room. I'll take some pics.

Are you saying that will solve my problem? Like i would just put the rubber hose over the spot that has the hole, zip tie it on and then maybe recharge the A/C...

No, not at all....LOL.....and I am sorry for the confusion, cause now, after reading my post, it does sound like that is what I was trying to say.

I should have typed would have solved that.

haha, its cool man, thats what I figured you meant, just kinda got my hopes up, but since i figured i was screwed anyway there was no damage done to my feelings. Anybody know of anything that could possibly fix this other than just getting a new A/C line? If not, i may just be taking the A/C out, a little weight reduction if you will.

I have tried to install USDM STi TMIC today. Unfortunately, it won't fit on my car although my car has JDM STi hood scoop. Air splitter sits way too high to clear JDM STi hood scoop.

I guess what I learn from this experience is that you will need a JDM V7 air splitter and not USDM STi air splitter.

Default Splitter didn't work?

Your trying to install a USDM STi intercooler and the USDM STi splitter doesn't work because of the hood scoop? I have an 04 and just bought a USDM STi IC and want to know what splitter will work with stock scoop? V7 or what?

If you have 2004+ body style, USDM STi air splitter will work just fine (if you have STi hood scoop). For 2002-03 body style, JDM STi splitter will work with JDM STi hood scoop.
