~130mph, based on RPMs (5850 in 5th), and confirmed by the speedo in my brother's Saab 9000. I've done that in both the '97 and the '99 I used to have. Both were done with completely stock drivetrain (well, OK, I admit it, both cars had K&N filters ). The '97 now has a full MRT exhaust, but has had bad head gaskets for a couple months now, so it hasn't been on a high speed run recently. 130 or so is about all they'll do. Still smooth as silk, very confidence-inspiring, even at top speed.

~135mph on speedo and 127mph on GPS. At 127mph, the limiter kicked in and I couldn't get that extra 3mph for a 130.

The car is a MY00 Legacy GT with panel filter, borla header, and muffler.

Cool

Just under 120mph. rt495 through wilmington might as well be a drag strip. I average 100mph on that road.

Did 115mph the other day with the wife in the car. Good thing she was reading. She said '' The car is growling again ". I just giggled and stepped on the brakes.

Default 120mph many times

I've hit 120 on many occasions without the rev limiter kicking in.
The first time was on the dirty jersey turnpike coming from Newark airport and I've also done it on the Saw Mill and Sprain.
Always very, very early in the morning with no traffic.
My car is completely stock and automatic.

Specs:
2000 Legacy GT Ltd (de-badged)

Just got my K&N filter today......can't wait to notice a difference.

120 a few times, would keep going, but no more speedo left.
Plus it took awhile to get there. And the radio made loud static noises after 115. Anybody else have that? I guess I could try turning it off huh? All I got right now is a JCS intake.

115 - '89 turbo RX on a (then) divided highway to nowhere.
105 - 96 OB (auto, no mods at the time)- various places on I-95, trying not to be run over by semis

95 - 97 2.5GT auto, K&N filter, back straight of the Jefferson Circuit at Summit Point raceway (the only place I *should* be hitting triple digits...).

Haven't taken the GPS out in the Subies yet to test the speedo. Had a Toyota Sienna minivan up to 95 GPS, 97 indicated, on the Ohio Tpk two weeks ago.

Oh, and any police who happen to be browsing, this is all fictional and you can't prove a thing

The fastest I had a Legacy going was my first one, the silver Twin Turbo RS sedan. With a Prova ECU, Fujitsubo cat-back muffler, it reached it's rpm limited top speed of 250km/h rather quickly. That's about 156mph.

A Singapore member of the B4 group has gotten his B4 up to 165mph on his digital speedo. I haven't de-limited mine yet, but I think that's easily possible.

Up over 120mph, probably at 125, and still seemed to be pulling pretty strong. That was about 4:30 am on my way into work one morning, six lane divided highway, with no traffic during my run. I backed out of it because I was coming up to some traffic, though. I was all nice and legal by the time I coasted up behind them.

This was a 98 GT, 5 spd, with Borla headers, removed exhaust resonator, Magnaflow muffler, removed intake silencer, H&R Springs, with STi V5 struts (car lowered about 1.25 in).

Rich

Had my '93 SVX up to 135mph last year while delivering the car up to Portland, OR, to sell it. Still smooth, still pulling strong, but chicken driver!

Somewhere between 110-120mph. At that point the car wouldn't go any faster and was exhibiting some very very scary handling characteristics. Felt like I was floating... tires were wandering... any imperfection in the road threatened to turn me into a pancake.

Outback is best kept under 95mph.

I stay between 80-90 on the SC interstates, and usually 60-65 on the large highways.
