I don't know, but it's something that you don't use for the reflash. Looks like a fuse or some kind of adaptor.

im pretty sure its some type of ecu initiating plug. you have to connect it under by the pedals for you to flash a new base map. it should tell you all of this in the instructions

Looking at the manual on my "Users Guide 04-06 STi and 06 WRX" doesnt have it listed under "package includes" on Pg 5. Maybe the newer ones dont need it?

I can barely make it out but in this pic this one says 2002-05 Users Guide. Maybe some do and some dont use it?

it plugs in under the dash and puts the car into a mode where the ECU can be overwritten...its only needed when flashing the base map, and its not required when flashing real time maps.

initialization connector, it should be in the manual.

STi's and 06 wrx's do not need that plug, it's needed for 04-05 wrxs only.

You can also just plug it in and leave it in so you don't lose it. It will have no ill effect. This was mentioned to me by the guy who did my Protune(RiftsWRX here).

Mine didn't come with one, and I didn't need it to flash my Base map. Have to hook the green connectors together under the dash to flash though.

All 2.5 liter motors can flash WITHOUT the use of the initilization connector.

I'd be more concerned that you have a WRX AP (according to the owners manual sitting there) and your profile says you have an STi.

You may want to verify what version of AP you have.

Neither my 05STi or my 06STI Accessports came with that white connector. I think that is only for 2L WRX's.

I appreciate your concern I should have stated earlier. This is not my pic, I came across this on the Classifieds when I was searching for something, i forget what it was. I became concerned because I didnt get one with mine.
