Alky was a great mod for me. I'm in a lot of commute traffic so I only go through a gallon a month; however, the power is there when I want it. I would also highly recommend the Cobb AP for the map switching ability when adding alcohol injection. Harman Motive in Torrance, CA tuned my STi and I couldn’t recommend them enough. No problems, daily driver and I track the car every other month or so. I use a race gas map on the track, no alky. List of mods for the car are on Harman’s website in the gallery section (Randy STi) although it appears the dyno sheet displayed is an old 91 map before I added the alky and AP.

SMC kit here. 100% methanol. Deadbolt td05h 18g with FMIC and supporting mods. Boosting 22 psi. Gained ~ 50 hp and tq. Went from a timing hating car to a timing loving car! EcuTek tuned.

hi im MOD-ADDICT,
Im a wannabe alcoholic.

what would put this thread over the top, would be to have the people with progressive control systems such as the SMC, Coolingmist etc. put up their start and max settings on their controllers. then add those numbers to the list next to their names in another column.

SMC soon.....just wait....wait....wait....wait....wait...wait....wai t...wait.......

ten GPH nozzle, VF22 on a 2.5L

I get boost almost instantly and spray at 7 pounds, so i go thru a lot of alky.

meth = 3.25 a gallon
denat = 14 a gallon

i am spending more in alky than i am in gas.

also, Steve from SMC seems to think that there is more power to be found in meth than denat, something like 10%, but i would be happy with 5% more powa.

for me teh choice is clear now that i have found a reliable local supplier for meth. only thing is, i have to buy five gallons at a time.

i have yet to have my car tuned for the water/meth set up. there is a newer software release coming from UTEK that i am waiting for.

here is what i put down withOUT the water/meth, on 92*

so when i do get it all working *7th April* i should have a few more ponies to the wheel`s

PdXTuning did all of the install.
