Default NEWBIE: Recommendations on STI stroker motor?

I'll just go ahead and start off by saying that I'm an idiot when it comes to subarus. But here goes:

I have a 2002 WRX Sedan... So I'm thinking to myself what would be the best engine conversion. I've had a few suggestions only to come up with a 2.8 sti stroker motor... Is this possible? And where could I find this?

I know Cobb sells stroked 2.0l EJ20s, I don't know whether they stroke the 2.5l EJ25. It is possible, however it is going to be hella expensive for that motor. It is way more than old motor comes out new one goes in.
