Default Borla header VS. others

How do they compare to others...for ex. GTspec and Gruppe-s....meaning which can make more power/hold your power back?

search for Unabombers FAQ, think he has one out for headers. read that whole thing then you'll have your answers

From what I read, the gtspec would net the best results due the included velocity stack uppipe. The gruppe-s seems to be very well liked too and would be an easier/quicker install if that matters. Also, the gruppe-s collector is better(than the borla --from what I read) and is the same diameter as our stock uppipe(the borla is bigger diameter).

I personally have used a gtspec(jethot) on my old stage2 wrx and felt good gains. The header seemed to be made very well. Again, from what I have read while researching headers, they all(unequal) seem to make about the same gains. Just my .02

Peace,
BK

Long ago there were fitment issues with Borla that could have been fixed by now. Borla has pretty ugly welds too. I've have had both GT-Spec II and the Gruppe-S. They fit well, and I'm of the mind that all headers are about the same, except the equal length ones. Contact me if you are interested in a used (<3000 mi) Jet-Hot coated GT-Spec II.
