Default Modded Injectors, UTEC, and Idle

Has anyone else had problems w/ the idle on the UTEC w/ modded injectors. Sometimes it idles fine, but other time it will sit there and almost die...you can also smell the gas, so I assume its running very rich. When its almost stalling...it will have a bit of black smoke out of exhaust...but once it smoothes out...its perfect....Anyone else had this?

Anyone tune it? Gotta scale it correctly then fix your 0% column. I kind of had the same problem.. it was idle SLIGHTLY weird on cold starts but nothing as bad as you describe but after I borrowed a good data logger to watch long and short term fuel trims, my idle is great. It's not even that hard too.

It is has been hard for me to adjust the short fuel trim in the o% column for higher rpms, numbers jump from 17 to -17 after resettting ecu and getting long term trim close to 0 .....this is not in gear readings....are the trims suppose to be 7+- through 1st-5 gear sequence ie driving?

I still feel I am missing something.....I am scaled at 720 running running 850 cc.......in descending order in the 0% column I have 13,12,11,11,10,......down to as high as 7 at 5000 rpm in fuel. I will posts logs later just got the trbo xs tuner...need to install.......

I am assumimg the numbers in the 0% column are high due to the 720 scale for utec injec. in parameters. The base map I have is catered to this scaling......logic correct?

lock down 0 column timing in that area to something like your 100 column numbers.
