Default Introduction...

Thanks for reading this. My name is David, I am owner of coolingmist.
We are glad to have the chance to sponsor this forum! Some of you have heard of us, many of you have heard of Methanol/water injection and many are probably completely in the dark. This will be a great forum to learn what the technology is, and determine if its right for you.

Myself and my company will do our best to answer as many questions as we can. We are running a very busy company so at times there may be a delay for a response.

Thanks again.

Just quickly browsed through your site, and I didn't see any optional "fail safe" device being offered for your water/alky injection kit. Are there any plans for one?

Coolingmist, Welcome!

Ace009, Failsafes arent as important as many people think they are. A well setup car and a vigilant owner is FAR more important.
That said, they are nice to have and are by no means a waste

For anyone looking at Coolingmists page, and wondering what is the best way to go, I recommend the Vari-Cool Controller kit, and pick up the 1 gallon tank while you are at it. Obviously their other stuff will work, but that kit is very nice and complete. And it comes with their progressive controller.

Thanks everyone for the support, we really appreciate it. This is an exciting forum and frankly we have wanted to be on here for quite a while, it was a bit over due so we talked to Nick about creating a Methanol/Water injection forum for us to sponsor. We felt this forum need one and that we should sponsor it.

As far as what new products we have, I can say we have 3 major products that are being released this year. We will have far more than 3 new products, but 3 of them will be ground breaking. As far as what specific products we have coming out, we dont discuss them until we make an announcement.

Ace, we have many different safety options and standards.

1) our brass checkvalve is made only for us and only for methanol water injection. It has a zero failure rate. Other companies offer a solenoid, which has electrical connections. When they fail they will stick open or stick closed. Some companies have a "plastic" or "composit" checkvalve. They will not hold up to the heat or pressure that ours will. Our checkvalve can handle 600 PSI and an easy 300 F, you can put it on the high pressure side next to the injector. Other checkvalves go on low pressure side cause they cant handle the pressure.

2) Clog nozzle detector/water flow monitors are available for all kits. They blink when methanol flows and light up when you get a clog. these are standard on the stage II vari-cool kit and and performance packages. They are optional on the other kits.

3) We have low fluid lights as options on all kits
4) we have digital water pressure gauges (should be back in stock shortly)
5) we have digital air temp gauges (again will be in stock soon).

We have just about anything you can think of and many new exciting products that will be released shortly.

Thanks again!

I have been using a coolingmist setup for almost a year. Great stuff. As far as a failsafe, I have a wideband sitting 8 inches from my face so if anything happens I am gonna know about it quick. A 3 gallon fuel cell in the trunk ensures that I wont run out of juice.
