Default Is it time for TGV port?

Im going to get protuned and have a couple questions regarding tgv deletes.
i have read lots of information about how to's, but not necessarily "when to's"
my question is, is it time for me to do the tgv delete. mods are:

stock vf-39 turbo
RS*R tbe
perrin short ram
Cobb AP STG 2
Soon to have a write up on a gt-spec header installation.

I plan on running a fp-green/sz-49 eventually, but for now, would the fellow forum members do the tgv delete. im not talking about buying deletes, just port and polish myself. Im going to do the p&p throttle body and intercooler elbows also. I would also like to know if you would upgrade the tmic before getting protuned, with my current mods.

my concerns about the tgv delete is cold runability and turbo lag. Can anyone give me some info on there experience with these. did it increase or decrease your turbo lag? How has your runability been since the tgv delete? i appreciate all your help.
