Question What Would You Do (Or What Do You Think Will Happen)

My friend Emily sent me an email today. (She's got "saved" a few years ago and joined this new church etc) So she was at the church for another activity (some kind of pot luck or something) and she sees one of the women there in the church crying.

She had seen her around a few times but didn't really know her all that well. When she went to talk to her the woman just opened up and told her everything. Apparently she had dated this guy (her husband now) for a couple of years, they got married, and we planning on having kids soon.

As they were trying to get pregant... they were following some kinda of timing system (I don't know how that works) and it was a good time. She told him that she didn't feel like it and they had an arguement about it.

During the argument she told him that they couldn't b/c ..... she had herpes.
He freaked out and left.. it's been two days and she hasn't heard from him.

I didnt' realize you could hide something like that for so long but apparently she just acted like she wasn't in the mood when she was having a problem and somehow he never got it.

This is so messed up to me b/c they are married and he didn't know?

C/N: Married couple, wife finally tells him she has an std, he freaks out, and walks out.

Herpes comes and goes, like most n00bs here.

If you don't have active lesions, you look like nothing's wrong.

Apperently she had it before she met him... but I'm wondering if she didn't cheat and get it .. that seems to make more sense to me.

But can't you still get it though? I've seen those commercials on TV.. or is that just something they say so they can't get sued like birthcontrols are only 99.9% effective (so that when you don't use them right you can't sue the compaines who make them)

Neither does he and it will sour the essential trust factor of the marriage..

apparently even if you don't have an outbreak you can still communicate the disease through something called "asymptomatic shedding."

It makes me so mad to hear that people would intentionally put someone in a situation to get an incurable disease...

That is just so wrong

My wife of 11 years and mother of my four kids told me before we got married that she had it.

I'm still herpes-free.

YMMV.
