Subaru Stars Doing a turbo upgrade on my 05 STi. Have question about tune.

Hello everyone! I'm going to be doing a Turbo upgrade on my 05 STi. As of now I am Stage 2 using the Cobb AP. When it comes time to get a tune for my vehicle should I get a Pro Tune for my AP or go with Ecutek? The turbo I'm going to be upgarding to will be a Green. I was told that I would see better gains using the Ecutek. I enjoy the features of the AP ( seeing live boost, reseting ECU, etc ). Any comments / questions would be greatly appreiated. Thanx everyone.

Sounds like you really like your AP. Stay with the AP. Get a ProTUNE or give PDX a call.. .(get a 100 oct as well. . like 5 realtime maps) They may have a map for your combo. Why dive into something you dont know that much about.

If you have a competant tuner both should net you very similar gains.... Its just a balance of Fuel, timing, and boost... Neither program has a special trick that makes it any better then the other....Some people just have product biases - like me - I'd tell you to get a hydra because it works very well with my green

But yea AP and protune should treat you right... Plus you can get the street tuner software which seems great (no personal experience with it)...
