Default can someone verify? wiring harnesses, 04 STi/ 05 RS

Ok, so i am under the impression (from sean at rallitek) that the 05 rs and the 04 USDM STi have close to identical wiring diagrams. As a matter of fact, Sean used the 04 USDM STi wiring diagram to find the correct wires for my perfect power that he put in.

There are a number of people on here who keep asking about doing WRX swaps into their 05 RS, and (rightfully) the response they have been getting is "go buy a wrx". However, if this is true that the diagrams are so similar, then people could then buy an 05 RS wagon, swap and STi engine (i know, i know, theres alooot more to do to make it an STi) and have their very own STi wagon while saving themselves alot of mental stress and money by having to mess with wiring harnesses too much.

Basically, can anyone verify this for me? also, i think a few people who are interested in getting a butt load of power from their rs would be interested in this information.

if you can aquire ecu pinouts of each of the cars, you can check to see how close they are. im not sure where to find new pinouts like these or i could check for you. you would atleast have to find what sensors are different, and rewire those, and then add a lot of boost control wires and sensors/solenoids, and then have AVCS control wired up as well. if you ever do figure it out, ill be willing to help tomarrow im goin on a drive, lemme know by pm if you wanna check out the roads we went on on the last corvallis drive!
