Default JDM WRX EJ205 - What PS lines?

What Power steering lines do I need? Can I use the RS ones ,or do I need WRX ones? STi? The steering rack on the car is RHD, so the lines come out of the rack on the RH side and go up over the right side of the motor.

I talked to you on AIM

But for others:

Either mod the JDM lines and put the RS fittings on the steering rack end of the lines

OR

USDM WRX lines

Yeah, I agree. I had to mod my lines, and went to my local hydrolic fittings place and I cant believe how cheap it was. It was less than 4 bucks, and they can make those lines any lenght you need.

Use your RS compressor and lines. Don't even open the ac system up, just unbolt it and put it to the side. The rear ac line is different for RHD anyway.

I used USDM WRX steering lines for mine.

CBRD was making some as well. Stainless and cost around 200. Maybe try to find a junker or find someone selling a wrx steering rack and hope to have the lines connected.

moss: there is a vendor offering stainless steel braided lines that were cheaper then buying the OEM subaru ones, you might want to look into that. and yes the PS lines are stupid expensive

Really... do we know who this vendor is? I talked to someone yesterday about this all and he said I only needed the feed and return hard lines.... but we'll see.

I feel your pain, I just ordered a new set too. I just love installing "new" parts though. Hell, i've already dumped XXXXX amount of money for the swap anyway, so i figured **** it. its only 200 bucks more...The service guys at the dealership know me by name now!!

Good luck man,
Greg
