Default Is there such a thing as good motorsport TV?

Anyone know of any good stations? My satellite provider SAYS they can get programming from overseas.

Ian? Or anyone else from "overseas"?

Thanks.
Mika

Ask your provider to get you Speedvision. Only good stuff we can get. It has all the MotorSports you could want, SCCA, Rally, F1, Trans AM, vintage etc... Only problem with it is it has to be part of the "Sports package" and costs me an extra $10 a month. I could care less about Football, baseball, basketball and all the other Balls but since it comes in the sports package I get 50 extra channels of worthless crap. It does not come ala carte unfortunately.
I used to watch Eurosport in Germany when I was not driving the Nurburgring in my Mazda 323 GTX!
See ya,

Jamie got it right. Nascarvision sucks! I want an alternative to that, since I have friends that will record anything remotely decent on that network.

Default canada?

I have a friend back home who used to have an "old school" dish. One of the monster ones. If I remember right he used to be able to grab something out of Canada that played alot of good stuff. That was like 15 years ago though, things have probably changed a bit. And if you live in an apartment... well... I doubt they'd let you hang one of those off your balcony.

And just wait until Fox really gets their dirty little hands on Speedvision. I am praying that they leave the format alone but I dont see that happening. Its bad enough that us F1 fans have to watch the USGP being covered on ABC. Guess I will have to watch with the volume turned off.

You hope speedvision stays in the same format? I hope it changes, get rid of all the damn hick racing and add way more rally, f1, le mans... anything but hick racing...

Ugh... fat chance of that happening. Unfortunately, the most popular forms of racing in the US all involve endlessly driving around in circles. Oh, and monster trucks of course. Rally is starting to really catch on, but it will be a while before the powers that be figure that out.

Angry Don't Get Me Started!

Don't get me started with Nascarvision...

Get this... so I was complaining to a friend about the whole thing with NASCAR and Speedvision. Come to find out, he acutally wanted this to happen! So pissed was I, I just moved him several... I mean "SEVERAL" notches down on the friend list.

To each his own, but still... Personally, they should just make a complete new station devoted to NASCAR and leave Speedvision the way it is. That way I can have the option of deleting the NASCAR channel.

just my 2-cents...

Arrow all things...

unfortunatly speedvision tries to be all things to all of it's viewers... I compare it to how MTV used to be. Naturally, it's going to show what rakes in the most ratings. Maybe someday they will get a hint and split off like all of the other music/movie channels, and get more specific. Let the Nascar goons have their own channel, and the rest of us can have the good stuff. Just a thought, hmm.. i think I'll forward this idea to speedvision.

American stuff, and then FIA racing. For some reason I really like all the FIA racing programs.
