Default Aquamist 2D is on the car!

Aquamist 2d is finally on the car, tomorrow I will be adding a 50/50 mix of pure methanol and distilled water. The Aquamist 2D is awesome because it's got a sensor tapped into an injector to read the pulse. It's also allowing you to turn on the mist by boost (I set mine at 0.7bar) and there's a warning system you install in your car comprising of 3 lights. The first light shows you the feedback from the injector, the 2nd light shows you that the aquamist is working (so as long as you hit 0.7bar the light turns on), the 3rd light will only light up if the nozzle is clogged or if you are running low on water. I believe there's way enough safety feature for me to feel comfortable abt this system.

Here are the pics:

As I always say "you get what you pay for". In this case you get the most complete, fail safe kit on the market. Not to mention they have been manufacturing water injection systems since 1986 (so 20yrs in the making).

I love my Aquamist 2D/DDS2 setup, it's been running flawless for the past year.

Yeah, I paid total after installation about USD750 for the whole thing, but install was completely flawless and the lights blinking on my dash give me a lot of peace of mind. I know it could have been much cheaper if I have gotten something else, but I don't know, the other kits look like they were made in someone's garage...

Cadillac as in "good"... Rolls Royce, Da Bomb, swell, hinky, neato,.. ect.

I guess it's a pretty old saying if nobody gets it.

Yeah if Aquamist lowered their prices we'd all buy them.

Maybe the dollar will get stronger.

I have been pleased with my 2d. I have one warning light for hooked up to the Spec C 12L intercooler tank low level alarm (my water tank source), and another to the pump failure light. What I have been meaning to do, but just haven't gotten around to it, is to set up a normally closed relay on the boost control solenoid, so that if the pump warning light goes off, the relay for boost control breaks the boost control solenoid circuit which should instantly lower boost to wastegate boost.

Hahah, sorry Bro. I am not local, so that saying totally misses me. Besides, I'd never associate a caddy with a rolls royce or da bomb or....well, you know what i mean.

it's 96% pure. About as pure as any sellable methanol can get. My friend is a chemical supplier for labs and hospitals. I got mine from him. He also sells 50% methanol for industrial use, but advises me against it because of impurities...

...and with the chemical supplier recommending against their own 50/50 mix due to impurities, how in the world do people trust 99 cent washer fluid?

I am not sure bro. We don't really sell washer fluid here (it never gets anywhere near freezing point) so that option was never available to me. My chemical supplier is not a car guy, and the knowledge of his products is only based on how it's used in medical, and laboratorium condition. He did ask me why I am buying pure meth for, and when I told him it's for WAI, he told me that maybe it's best to keep it pure since the price is not that much different and the peace of mind would be priceless.
