Default ECUExplorer data logging question

I am new to ecuExplorer software.

In order for a tuner to adequately understand car's tuning, how long do I need to drive the car for to store all necessary data? do I need to push my car to the limit so that tuner can see all parameters?

I just got a USB to serial cable for $35.99

Thanks!

For WOT tuning just do a few pulls in an upper gear to get some info. Record IAM, IAT, TPS, RPM, MAP, IDC (woah acronyms ), engine load (if avail), and fuel trims at min. For more complete tuning just log a few trips around town and things like pulling onto a highway - it should provide more than enough of nominal data.

Here are a few parameters available... which set of data are required by tuners to determine if their emap are optimized?

- Mass air flow
- air fuel learning #1
- air fuel correction #1
- engine speed, vehicle speed
- throttle opening angle
- coolant temperature
- intake air temperature
- ignition timing
- atmospheric pressure
- knock correction
- Throttle sensor voltage
- air flow sensor voltage
- battery voltage
- fuel temperature
- fuel tank pressure
- manifold relative pressure
- CPC valve duty ratio
- Primary wastegate duty cycle
- Rear O2 sensor

Why isn't BCS duty cycle contained in ECUExplorer parameter list?
