Question Can somebody tell me if this tranny wil bolt into my car??? I really need some help

Will a manual transmission from 1994 subaru legacy (EJ22) bolt into my 1999 Subaru impreza 2.5Rs. I blew secound gear last night and I need a replacement or rebiuld. I need to know if it will bolt up without modification and my clutch and the hydraulic setup for it will bolt right on (I'm assuming that the legacy has a cable clutch)

thanks

There's not going to be a hole in the case on the '94 to bolt up the slave cylinder. You might be able to convert it, but I've never tried...

Can anybody tell me if the holes could be drilled easily without damaging anything? I really need to know because I can get this tranny for $325, the only other trannies I've found cost $1000-$1500, which I dont have....

Check if there is a swap shop near you, they are pulling out the trannys you need and sell them for cheap. I picked up a 2004 tranny for $500 CND.
