Sorry, but all TN dealers suck. I have talked to every GM in all the dealerships and they are all saying that they will not go below MSRP. They said that the WRX's are just to hard to come by here in TN, so they can't let them go for any less than MSRP. Have you had any better luck with these or any other dealers around? I'm almost at the point of shopping for a different car, but I am holding out for a miracle.

No I have the car I want right now. I am looking for a mod friendly dealer.
You tried Earl Duff in Harriman? Aguy I know bought his there and they treated him pretty good. Not sure what he paid. Harper's sucks when it comes to repairs. I bought the extended warranty (4years/48,000) from them but I don't like their attitude. I bet you know about them.

Ya, I know all about those guys. They are pretty snobby and rude. They lack any good customer service.

Tried this one?

They've had a good presence at rallys and seem to be mod friendly. I don't know what part of the state you're in, but if they're a Subaru Steller Performer they're usually doing something right.

Grayson in Knoxville sucks> They'll try to feed you all kinds of bs. Best shot is probably one in Atlanta. Subie of Gwinett is good.

Kelly in Chatty and Earl Duff in Harriman are both good dealers.

Earl Duff, Harriman, TN is a good place. We've bought 2 Subarus from Earl Duff. We're not fans of Grayson Subaru.

Went to Grayson a couple of months ago when my sway bar bracket broke and had been pounding away after every little bump before I discovered the problem. I went to get the part (it looked like something incredibly easy to replace ... it was). This was before I really knew exactly what the part was or what its name was. I told the guy, "I need a part, but I'm not exactly sure what it's called or how to describe it. You'll have to come out and look at it." He just bristled andwent to his computer and said, "I think I can find it....where's it located." After several minutes of, "Is this it? Is THIS it. How about THIS?" to which the reponse, each time, was a resounding, "NO. Please just come look at it." Finally, he decided to go to the service bay and ask a mechanic about it. He came back and said, "Apparently the part you need is welded onto the control arm. You can't buy just that part. You have to get the whole arm. That costs about $215." (Of course, they would have to install it for me. Probably another couple of hundred).

I knew better, and went to Autozone, borrowed a wrench, took the thing off, drove back to Grayson and laid the thing on the counter (this time there was a different guy there) and said, "I want one of these." He looked it up, found it, ordered it. $15. Said it would be in first thing Monday. Cool.

Zoom to Monday afternoon. Call to Grayson: "Just seeing if my part came in." Reply: "Uh...oh...I can't seem to find that order. I think I forgot to order it. I'll go ahead and order it again and you can have it Wednesday. Uh....that was that bracket, right?"

Default Grayson Stories

I went to Grayson to have them look at a solution to my clutch shudder when cold. I asked them to look and see if there was a service bulletin to address the issue. The guy behind the service desk looked up at me and said, "Nope, only clutch shudder bulletins apply to Imprezas." I went home, called Earl Duff. They returned my phone call and said, "Yup...when do you want to have us fix it so we can make sure you have a loaner to drive?" I later found a copy of the bulletin on the internet...and it specifically addressed my problem. Why Grayson had to lie to me, I don't know. If they didn't want to fix it because I bought the car before Grayson was even selling Subarus, and didn't want to do a warranty claim cause they don't make money on it...then tell me that, don't lie to me.

Yeah I think Earl Duff is the by far better than Grayson. I don't care to drive the extra 30 minutes to get much better service. As much service as they get from people around here they need to open a store in Knoxville.
