Talking Got a date with Rallispec

..to get a whiteline 18-22m sway bar and bar end links for my '99 Outback wagon. I couldn't find any 16x7 rims I could afford, and folks I consulted with thought the bar would be a good upgrade. Now, before I get up there, are you all agreed that the UR underdrive pulley isn't woth it? That is the impression I got from the group when I first asked about Legacy mods. I am asking again because I notice that Teague's Auto posts something like 2.5 seconds improved 0-60 time with JUST the pulley on their project Legacy ('91 2wd). $189 is a lot of dough for me, and I don't want to spend it if you guys (and gal) don't think it is worth it.

Every little bit helps. It itself is not going to blow your mind, but the pulley w/ an intake and exhaust blah blah blah will show difference. It is just another stepping stone. If you want to go faster, Then yes, add it to your list. If a little extra speed doesn't matter, then invest it in metal master brake pads. Ps I have one and am happy.

Do not expect much from the pulleys, though you should notice a little.

Since yours probably doesn't have variable-assist power steering you shouldn't see any adverse effects to installing it.

A local guy here has one and hasn't noticed any problems at all but he's got a JCSports intake and APEX-i AFC too.

Haven't people been selling RS 16X7s for pretty cheap? I could've sworn at the last Mid Atlantic meet someone posted a set for around $200 or so.

I have the pulley and I think it improves throttle response a bit- probably the slight reduction in rotational inertia w/ the lighter pulley. Also I would guess less load should technically give you some efficiency improvements.

I would take a set of RS rims for $200 in a heartbeat. I missed the mid atlantic meet because I work most weekends. I guess I'll keep a closer eye on the classified boards.
