Default Cobb Stage 2.5 vs. (Any) Pro Tune for VF34

So, I've gotten some recommendations to get a pro tune instead of using my Cobb Accessport to flash the VF34 map. One advantage I was told was that it'd give me the most performance increase going with a pro tune.

How much would it cost to get a pro tune? I'm hoping it couldn't cost more than what I could sell the AP for ($400-$500).

What are other advantages and disadvantages for going with a pro tune over the AP? If I go with a pro tune, is there anything else I'd have to get (my current setup would be up/dp, cbe, vf34, sti injectors, fuel pump)

Would a pro tune from one shop be any different from another shop?

Thanks for the help. Any other matters of concern, I'd appreciate the heads up!

You can't sell the AP after you get the protune. It is just another AP map to use that is custom made for your car.

maybe i'm wrong on this one, correct me if i am, but YOU NEED THE ACCESSPORT IF YOU'RE USING PROTUNE MAPS. when you get the tune, the tuner reflashes your base map with the new one, and uploads it into your AP, along with a real-time map.

if you want just one map, one tune, then revert your car to stock, unmarry the AP, sell it, and get an ecutek tune...

however the AP is good if you get a 91 oct map and a 100 oct map

my 100 map added +25 whp on a dynojet over 91 with a vf-39 and just 1psi more.... (17psi on 91, 18 on 100)

to be honest, i DON'T think its worth it to get just a 91 oct tune with a protune. i don't think it will be significant enough. cobbs maps are generalized, but a protune can be more of a custom map, that deals with your altitude and gas quality...
