There are two things that seem contradictary. Leisurely and Fountainhead. No matter what I do there my heart rate always goes to eleventybillion. I might be down for later this week but I won't know until tomorrow.

True. I guess by leisurely I mean "frequent stops to prevent vomiting."

I would love to hit up some new rides. Patapsco is my "home trail", so I'm looking to diversify. I'll be rigid 29erSS for a while, because my FS bike met it's maker last weekend! We were on our annual Fruita, CO. trip on Kokopelli's Trail...when I noticed my frame was cracked. In many places! Whoops...

I hit up Difficult run yesterday with a few friends... muddy in some spots but mostly ok. The second major creek crossing was flooded, so we had to carry our bikes on our backs and ford the water... overall fun. Good to be back on a bike again. Now I get to pick all the mud off my bike and clean and lube it...

Heading back out to Reston Ice Rink around 2-3pm Wednesday for another ride if anyone is interested. Supposed to stop raining mid day tomorrow, so it will have 48hrs to dry out a little. Anyone up for a ride? Prob ride about 5 miles in.. then turn around and come back. Nothing too long, just a fun ride.

has any one ever ridden the trail from Oak Marr Rec Center in Fairfax / Oakton to the Great Falls? A co-worker and I saw that on the new Fairfax County Bike map that was given out at the Bike to Work Pit Stops.

I'd be up for either/both pending if it dries out over the weekend.

Tuesday I have class. Wednesday would work for me. What time?

I may head out this afternoon for a quick run. It'll be muddy, but fun... just go off trail in the grass around the water logged parts to not ruin the trail.

I was out at DFR last night. Some sections OK, some sections 6"+ deep mud. I'm thinking of maybe trying to hit up Fountainhead or Wakefield on Wed unless the weather really dries things out over the next couple days.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.

It's supposed to be a nice weekend. Which day is best? Saturday, Sunday, or Monday?

Late notice, but I'm heading to 495 in a bit. Hopefully it's somewhat dry. If not I'll hit the slalom at Wakefield.

Maybe - it depends on whether I can shake this stomach bug I've got...

Anyone that's going to be in town, how about Friday morning? Looks like it should be good, cooler weather. I'll probably just go to Wakefield.

HOV and I rode down at Prince William Forest Park last week. If my back feels better soon, I might head down there again.

I'm out of town on Friday, but I'm hoping to get a couple rides in after work this week. maybe Tue and/or Wed night, depending on how much it rains tonight. Probably do Difficult Run to start out with since I've been out of comission for 4.5 weeks now. (ugh)

I should be up for a ride Tuesday night, but I won't be able to make it to Reston in time to ride. Wakefield or Fountainhead is an option, but I know that's a pain for you...

I think it's going to be too wet out there based on the rain yesterday...
