Anyone in here into downhill? Me and my buddy take trips up to Diablo in north jersey a few times in the summer. Otherwise we're riding at our local dh track daily

I am at Summit Point Sat morning/afternoon otherwise I would be up for it.

There is a large ride (~15 riders) at the Shed on Sunday starting at the Sandflats at 10AM.

First snow ride of the year! Iceberg trail at the Shed last weekend.

little snow over ice over leaves over rocks = sloppy fun.

It looks like my head is attached to a rock in that 2nd picture!

Tim should try the shed, then (most) everything else will be 'too easy'.

Yup, that's me. But next time I think I'll be bringing my 29er. You going up for the ride in Jan (15th I think)?

I plan on it but have been dealing with ITBS tendonitus pain on my right leg. I gave myself a 2 week break before this last shed ride but it still flared up so I'll be taking off riding for another 2 weeks. I am hitting the gym, icing and massaging so hopefully I will be able to ride pain free in a couple weeks.

Iceberg was just stupid slippery, even the smallest rock gardens were an issue because of traction at the last ride.

I need some subie buddies to go biking with. Just now got back from riding at wakefield, and I hear fountainhead has been redone to be much more awesome.

I heard rumors they were going to build an "expert" section with drop-offs, logs, and such. No? Let me guess, complete opposite? Way too easy?

Sorry I didn't make it out yesterday.

I'm definitely up for a ride Sunday morning. I'd even do Fountainhead, but I will be VERY slow and taking frequent breaks.

Shaeffer Farms tonight at 5:30.

I'll be in the slow group as I am still recovering (3 fing months so far) from ITBS tendinitus.

Riding?

Do you mean times/mileage? If so, I was taking it easy because of the Iliotibial Band Syndrome tendinitus I have been suffering from. It still is not better and it has been over 3 months.

grr.. you guys are killing me.. I want to get out and ride!

Just haven't been able to pull the time together and down my way (HR/southside VA) I have to drive to any decent trails and deal with peak traffic times.

*sigh* .. I miss the woods!

On a side note, I'm looking to pick up a hardtail+FS 29er. If you see any good deals, or something nice used, let me know!
