We never go on the trail that goes straight up the power lines. Always use the back & forth trail. Even that hill up to the power lines is small. Come on...man up!

Payam, How are your battle wounds heeling?

That was a good ride on Wednesday. Thanks guys.

Anyone up for a ride on Memorial Day? Fountainhead, Wakefield, Schaefer, or wherever.

hopefully i can finish today and tomorrow i will re adjust everything.

but yea, as slow as i was, i still had fun. i just gotta keep at it

i would love to do schaffer some time before june 10. however with STPR in the way next weekend, i may just have to stay one more week! lol

Tomorrow/ friday? I think I have a cutter that can be used for cable housings, I usually use a dremel or something to dress them after cutting too.

Can't today, Red Robin meet.

I am pretty much out for the next couple weeks. We started a MAJOR landscaping project so that's what I'll be working on after work and on the weekends for a while.

Nice, I'm going to have to pick up a roof rack. What roof racks do you guys recommend for an 06 WRX Wagon? I need to carry 1-2 bikes. Is the factory one decent?

factory is yakima iirc....

i use a trailer hitch/hitch mount (but my car is in RI) that way i dont have to leave the rack biting into the top of my car lol

Tim! i know you'll like htis for sure. You know over by accotink, there is that long winding paved area going over the train tracks? go all the way over into the neighborhood, take a right, and you will see a trail come up fast to your right, kinda hidden. There are 4 large jumps, and i mean ramp built dropoffs about 2-3 feet high that you carry a lot of speed over. i wrecked on the second one bad, twisted my handlebars and bruised my leg. it was ExtrEmE1! you have to cross over the train tracks again (on ground) to get back to the main accotink trails. but i lost all confidence in going over those and think it woul dhave been much better with clipless. the second time around, my pedal ate my shins up good.

i hope to be able to come back sometime maybe next spring/summer so i can enjoy the trails with you guys, by then i'll have lost weight and be in better biking condition.

comparing my bike to my friends FSR, my bike is a monster (32lbs) i gotta get some lighter wheels and tidbits. it drags so bad on trails and uphills. going down is fun though.

ok off to RI this friday/saturday

Sorry I missed the sweet jumps. Tom will have to show me next we go riding. Sounds like they were a bit unforgiving to you Payam.

I have a hitch, but that's taken up by the jetski usually. I need a roof rack so that I can tow the ski and bring bikes too, for vacations and such.

Sadly, I didn't make it out last night. I was stuck @ work till 8:30PM. I know where the bridge is over the train tracks though, so I'll have to scout that out. I'm actually hoping to go tonight as long as the weather holds out. <knock on wood> I'll be out of town this weekend unfortunately, so no riding for me. Anyone else up for tonight if it doesn't rain?

Looking for suggestions for a good new full suspension 'all mountain' bike for a big guy. I snapped my left crank arm in half tonight, no jumping or crazyness, just vigorous climbing (seated even!) I think age is finally starting to catch up to the aluminum parts on my bike.

So far I have one recommendation from the mechanic at performance for the Iron Horse Hollowpoint Mark III sport. link to specs

Anybody else have recommendatons from personal experience?
Thanks!
