Question good mods to do while engine is out?

what are the obvious mods to do while the swap is getting done? i have a goal of trying to get close to 300whp out of the 2.0 turbo

if matched headers means equal length i think i would rather have unequal length headers for the sound.
my ideas were up pipe, down pipe, headers, bov, wastegate upgrade, etc. i am not aiming for high hp number off the bat, just building up to it as i can afford to, but i want to get some of the stuff that is a b*t*h while it will be easier. i also am not sure about a flywheel upgrade since it will be a daly driver

Essentially any maintanence or performance you can afford...it's so much easier out of the car. Good luck.

^^^ What he said, I'd also add h20 pump, oil pump, I did F & R main seals also, cheap and very easy to do while its out...also timing belt tensioner. Are you doing EJ207 at least? I think you will hit those big numbers with tuning, and turbo selection.. and hopefully your EJ207..
Oh, also might as well put in that walbro255lph pump, and not the stock WRX replacement. If you wanted to, and had the cash, you could also do some higher lift cams too. Keep the durations close to stock, you should do higher rate valve springs too if you do that.

flywheel isnt a concern for drivability, unless you are going ridiculous. i cant drive with a stock flywheel, it makes me depressed and throttle response slower on an already slow responding car (bc its turbo). haha

get a light fly. like 14lb or somthign liek that. make yourself happy.
