Default anyone build a top speed WANGAN GC8 yet>?

pictures of progress will be coming.

shell was purchased last friday, 93 AWD swapstar green GF8 WAggins!!!

thoughts on project build;
goals - 180 mph top speed. that is it.

im guessing ill need 400 wheel and 8,000 rpm- what are your guys thoughts?

parts compilations-

pondering:

usdm 6mt for tall 5/6 if needed (forgive me for not having done my math yet- havnt slept much this weekend). if the JDM one cuts it i have those no prob.

TD06 25-G - aka zerosports style for JDM kicks?

probably run 15's as long as i can get tires rated to 180 mph. ha. smaller wind drag profile as well

newest Linkplus EM. plug and play harness, havnt had time to put the tarmac RA sedan on the dyno and tune yet though-

already have:

EJ20G block+JDM ej257 crank+ver 9 C rods+subaru gruppe-N competition pistons - you think that will hold 400 wheel?
at 2100 cc or so, with 92.0X79 is 8,000 RPM limit reasonable? i know the rods and pistons are good, but the crank worries me. wonder how high cobb rates their special bearings to-

EJ20G heads. be fine for 400 wheel. HLA is good to 8K, i dont know if a 257 crank is.
sti 3 puck clutch+toda flywheel
R200 diff from nissan - probably shoot for 3.54 or so gearing. going to do math this afternoon.
JDM OHLINS suspension. have it, might as well go baller abit a slight waste. or swap the JIC's on from the RA tarmac setting car.

dont need swaybars bc this car isnt designed to turn. brakes i can use some random JDM normal 10.7's i have lying around to clear 15's.
dosnt need suspension bits, bushings will be nice to have for some slight stability but cant go too hard. hmm.

and some crazy aero business. i duno if an impreza (wagon at that) can physically go 180mph, but i suppose it will be fun to try. have AERO program for wind tunnel simulation (proprietary built by dad who is GM Aerodept management guy), and i suppose i would be able to get him to run some stuff. hmm.

ideas anyone? anyone ever built a top speed subaru?

i don't think your gonna get to 400 whp

you will have to do machining to get the phase 2 crank to fit the phase 1 block
just sell all that stuff and buy a 257 block ..

hla is not good to 8000 but the ver 2 heads arn't hla

i would think stupid stiff sways would be the way to go

HLA is good to 8,000 rpm. i do it all the time. version 2 is HLA, only the RA isnt hla.

it gets floaty close to 8K, but my turbine dosnt have anything past 7400 anyway so i shift.
