Default Need help finding motor for 2000 gc8

Sup guys and girls. I know first of all this might be my first time posting on NASIOC but, I was wondering if any of you know were i can get a v7 motor form that is a good place to get it from. I thinking about getting a 2000 2.2l rs 5 sp man. but the motor has almost 200k on it so im thinking of doing the motor swap right after I get the car. Any help would be welcomed.

why ver7? why not 8 or 9? the newer only gets bettors......

Ok what i am looking for if im not correct is the wrx V7 type-r motor that they made I know it was a EJ20 sti with the vf turbin other than that i was wundering if there was any other info out there. I know the V8 is little stonger but as for as the highe end goes the 7 is alot stonger and if im correct it has little bit lower compretion and revs up to 9k but im not 100% shur on that i could be wrong im still know but trying to become knowlagable as much as i can. If I am incorrect please let me know and if there any links that you know of pleace post tham so that i may read for my benifit.

Ver. 7 pistons are stronger. I would stick with those. Ver. 8 and up has twinscroll, which is nice, but you'll probably end up replacing it anyway.
