Default Went cobb stage 2...DYNO Graph Inside!

So as you can see this is a plot of my stock, CA 91 map, and regular 91 map...

I must have a really strong motor becuase I put down 207/211 with just a turbo back and intercooler hoses...

So mods are now:
Helix catless Turbo Back Exhaust
Samco Intercooler hoses.
Stock airbox with removed silencer
Cobb Stage 2 91 octane MAP.

anyways, anylyze away!!

Thanks Dan and Ian at Harman MOtive!!!

Nice numbers man. I'm Stage 2 with a Borla Catback, Helix catted downpipe and Injen intake and of course the AP... I wonder how much I'm making. Hmm....

edit: I wonder what differentiates the California Stage 2 Map with the regular one.

The AF ratio looks the same with the CA map compared to the normal S2 map.

For Cali gas, I would prefer to see the AF ratios around 11:1 once boost hits with a taper to 10.5:1 over 5500rpm. That would get some additional detonation resistance around torque peak.

I'd love to see these maps compared to what a Harmon S2 or a PDX S2 map! From what I've seen before both of these tuners would fatten it up to 11:1 once boost hits.

Great numbers, though!

I talked to Dan at harmanmotive and he just said that it's a little less aggressive than the regular 91 map, so I guess you could say it's safer. ...and as you can see I made less power on the Cali map vs. the reg. 91 map.

You talking about the blue run (OTS Cobb Stage 2 map)? That's probably the ECU hearing major detonation and pulling timing due to the combination of aggressive AF ratios, too much timing and crappy CA gas.

IMO, a real CA gas tune needs to be richer than 12:1 under boost.

the dip is the ecu pulling timing to craptastic 91 octane i had the same thing on my dyno run when they ran in 4th gear after switiching to 3rd gear run it was less noticable..

yeah after the first run and I saw those numbers I was extremely happy...he said that ti seemed like I had a really strong motor...I mean, they're supposed to dyno around 170 whp stock? All I had was turbo back and I hit 207? Crazy.

Yep, IMO that kind of tuning where you see the ECU pulling timing severely to compensate for the fuel means that the tune is no good! Just because it's not as noticable in 3rd gear doesn't mean that it's safe to run in the long term.

Another reason to get a ProTune, but I really wish that Cobb would release better (IE, safer) CA maps, even they are pretty close to the edge for our fuel.

Well, I'm running on the regular 91 map right now and I love it..haven't heard any audible knock...just yet. Anyways, you guys think I should just run the CA 91 map? I made a lot less power on it...

nice graph!!!

it only gets better from there, heres my graph from harman motive, with a vf-39, sti tmic, sti "pinks", samco turbo inlet hose, sti uppipe, and bpm tbe...

blue is baseline
red is 91 oct
green is 100 oct!!

our cars like 100 oct, if you have the extra $$$, i'd recommend getting a map for it!!!

well try to get the mix around 94-95 oct, any more than that would be wasting your money. theres a definite difference with the 93 map, the car feels a little more aggressive, but its not the huge night/day difference with 100 oct. try the 93 map though, i'm sure you'll like it
