Well, I have been talking to Ground Control about their set-up on the AGX's, similar to what they did for the Impreza group buy. Now, if Subie Gal says that the Impreza struts fit the Legacy, then what kind of differences are there between the springs? I am sure that the spring rates are different do to the added weight, but what else should we be looking for here?
Would any Legacy owners be interested in this set-up? I could contact Ground Control and see what kind of deal they could put together? Any thoughts? Chris

I ordered my AGX's from Summit Racing for 109.95 a piece, including shipping, should be here tomorrow. The Ground Control setup would be my first choice because of the ride-height adjustability and choice of spring rates. My only question is what will the coilover setup do to class ranking with SCCA for autocross/rallycross?

Changing the struts is A-OK. Changing the springs moves you out of stock. As for where exactly you'll wind up I don't know. It's my intention to stay in stock. That way, I can keep my high-dollar pipe dreams to a minimum...

Hey Eric, which struts are you running w/ stock springs? How do you like the setup vs. stock 95-99 GT ?

Just remember that the rears *ARE DIFFERENT* on the 2000~ Legacys. The KYBs will fit the front but will not fit the rear (due to the multi-link suspension).
Spring rates are generaly higher (I'd look at the numbers that H&R publishes, I don't have them handy) and the Wagon rears are even higher. A |

Gumball - My car remains straight stock save for the 'Radio Flyer' decals, the Hot Wheel's car (Radio Flyer Wagon, of course!
) on the dash, and the red badge. Responsibilities and no huge surpluss of cash are keeping me from the suspension mods...My only concerns are which springs and struts will work together happily as the springs would lower the suspension from its stock height... It'll be a while still until I look hard into finding out. I think that Subie Gal has done more modding than the rest of us, so she has some decent opinions. - Eric '98 2.5 GT Wagon - Pics - Page - |

I've had the AGX set-up with Eibach springs for the past couple of months and they work great. The springs drop the car about an inch to an inch and a half, but I don't get any tire rub with my 16" wheels. The ride is firm but not harsh. There's an SCCA meet this weekend, so I'll let you know how it goes.
