Default Weird boost problems.

So after getting my swap done, i instantly started throwing aftermarket parts at it. Bigger TMIC, Intake filter(cone), TBE, MBC, atmospheric BOV. before i put the MBC on my car it would hit .8-.9 bar spike and drop to about .7. Then i put the MBC on and turned up the boost to spike to 1bar and then drop to .85-.9. After a couple of days it started acting weird when it would spike, however its not fuel cut(Fuel cut is very aggresive and harsh and have felt this in other subarus w/ the same swap) it feels very mild, my boost would stay up at .95 or so and the revs would keep on climing, however i could feel the loss of power. If i would back off to about .8 it would run perfect and actualy be faster the the 1.0bar. So after that i turned down the MBC to .9spike and boost of .8 and the same thing started happening.
After having fun w/ the MBC(getting way pissed off), i went back and hooked up my stock solenoid, and put on the stock BOV. But now my car is doing the SAME thing, even after receting the ECU. However now my boost will spike up close to 1bar and then drop to .8bar. when it goest to .8 that thing still happends just not as offten.
But hear is the catch, if i roll into my throttle and avoid the boost spike my car will run perfect. And the 2nd catch is, if my car is just under fully warmed temp it will spike up to the 1bar then drop to .8 and wont to that weird hessitation thing at all.

anyone know what might cause this or has experianced anything like this in there own car. Neither Scoobydorift(same swap as myne except w/ a tdo5, w/ the same mods and he doesnt have this problem) not i can figgure this out.

The only thing i think that it might be is that im running 1 step colder plugs, however after running my car for 1K miles i pulled them out and decreased my gap(it was at .38 for some reason, and took it down to .34-.32) but sense it ran fine w/ a bigger gap i dont see the plugs being the problem.

If anyone could help i would apreciate it...for now im just going to run WG spring pressure, so i can at least go to SCCA this weekend.

thanks
kirill

PS. this is all on a EJ20G that came out of a MY96 GF8

wish i could help ya kirill BUT if it makes ya feel any better i'm having a boost issue also. kinda weird as well. my car runs 1bar almost all of the time but occasionally will just drop down to .6bar (wastegate pressure i think?). it's not a consistant thing either so i can't pinpoint why. possibly car thinks it's knocking then pulling timing? would think if this were the case it would happen more often i dunno.....

seems like we have a ej20g boost problem club starting...woo hoo. haha.

and mine is out of a V2 STi GC8 for anyone who cares haha.

sounds like the car was pulling timing, but its wired that it would do it at lower and lower boost levels.

hmmmm

LOL, yea it seems like most of us w/ ej20g's are having issues w/ boost.
And no im not running any engine managment, im only running .2(or 3psi or so more then stock). and that little added boost doesnt need any managment to prevent problems.
however i hooked up my WG to run just spring pressure(.5bar EXACTLY) and it runs perfect, except for the fact that im loosing between 20-30hp. I used to be as fast as a STi, but now im just a bit faster then a WRX.
however i might have found my problem, so ill look more into it.

on another hand, anyone know a place that has the vacume diagrams for the WasteGateControl solenoid and for the WG? i want to make sure all of that is hooked up properly.

no race gas yet. one day....
however i got a diff. MBC from one of my buddies today that has a little better construction(doesnt spike) and set boost to .8bar. w/ .8 it would do that thing, so i took it to .7 an WALA. it went away...so now the intresting part. why doesnt my car like running .8 but will run .7....
